Hustings
A contribution form for federal candidates and PACs that checks the FEC basics before the donor pays, and keeps the records for your reports.
For U.S. federal candidate committees and PACs running their own WordPress site.
Hustings helps you follow the rules; it is not legal advice and does not file reports.

Inside Hustings
Checks before payment : full name and mailing address; occupation and employer once the donor passes $200 for the calendar year (with "retired" and "not employed" welcome); the four statements a contributor confirms (citizen or permanent resident, own funds, not corporate or union funds, not a federal contractor).
The limit : per election for a candidate committee (primary or general, designated by the date), per calendar year for a PAC, set by you because the FEC indexes it. A donor over the limit is told exactly how much more they may give.
The words the FEC asks for : the best-efforts request on the form, "Paid for by" (and "not authorized by any candidate" for a PAC) on the form and in a footer shortcode, and the not-deductible notice.
Your own processor takes the money : after the checks the donor goes on to your payment page with the amount filled in. Hustings never sees a card.
Reconcile : paste the processor's export (email, amount, date) and the matching gifts are marked received.
To look at : gifts over the limit with the 60-day refund-or-redesignate date, donors past $200 with no occupation or employer and the 30-day follow-up date, and pledges that never showed up as paid.
Records CSV : every received gift with its election, the aggregate and whether it itemizes.
